A year goes so fast...

Wow!! I can't believe it has been over a year since my last post!! I have had a very full life over the past year, some good times, some bad. I got a promotion at work and am now a loan officer but I also have lost a close loved one that will be missed greatly and he leaves behind a wonderful family that I will hold close to my heart. The summer so far has been busy with lots of fun stuff like barbecues, the movies, the beach, fireworks, cotton candy, and smores.   Hope y'all are having a great summer! I leave you with one of my favorite photos of my girls at The Rock pizza (delicious by the way if you have never tried it) More of my crazy life and card making to come soon..

Missing in action...

I know I have been missing for a while now...life has been a little hectic with the girls on summer vacation,  trips to the beach, birthdays, barbecues, work, etc... I will be back later this week with some fun cards I have been working on and maybe a few pictures. Hope you all are having a great summer!

Happy Late Mother's Day!

This is my second post today. I thought I would also share the cards I made for my mother in law and my mom. I know it is a little late but...better late than never. I still haven't seen my mom since mother's day because she was out of town but I am mailing it to her tomorrow. Hope you enjoy.

This one is my moms:

She loves pink!

This one is my mother in laws:

She Loves Red!

I love them both, they are amazing, strong, talented women.

18 Pounds and 18 Things

So I haven't really blogged very much about one of the first goals I had for the year, which was to loose weight. I had 40 pounds to loose. Wow it really hurts to even say that large of a number. I know some of you that know me are thinking there is no way she had 40 pounds to loose!! I sure did..I am very short only 5 feet tall. My healthy weight range according to weight watchers for my height and age is somewhere between 102-120 pounds. My goal is to get to 110. I feel like that is attainable. I CAN do it!!

So far I have lost 18 pounds and counting and I thought I should take that 18 pounds and tell you 18 positive things that have happened since the start of this journey:

1. I don't have to make excuses for why I look the way I do. I'm making a change because I realize it's not healthy.

2. I am now a role model to some of my friends and family who have decided to make healthy changes for themselves as well.

3. I feel sincerely proud of myself for committing to something and sticking to it. And not just that really... but succeeding at it!

4. I've lowered my risk for diabetes and other diseases increased by weight. I've always worried that my weight would contribute to this since it runs in my family.

5. I feel successful and it makes me walk taller.

6. My clothes fit better and I spend less time worrying about where they are clinging.

7. I shop in the fresh foods department. I always wanted to be a healthy eater... I just never was.

8. I can see my waist becoming more defined and it makes me feel like a foxy momma. I love my figure when I'm thinner. Though right now I'm not really an hour glass, more like a 5 hour glass... but soon enough!
9. I think people are staring to notice.

10. I don't feel embarrassed going through the checkout with my groceries. My cart is full of healthy and fresh food. Not snacks, chips, icecream, and candy. I feel less judged... even if it's just less judged by myself.

11. I love myself enough to do this for myself, to dress up, to fix my hair, do my makeup and to attract a little attention. It's only going to get better from here, and I want people to notice me... even if it's so later I can shock them with my future weight loss.
12. My energy is up. This has always been a problem for me but no more.

13. My relationships have improved. I am not as grouchy (hopefully).

14. I realized how BIG our portion sizes have become and it was soooo crystal clear why I am FAT!!

15. I am happier, which is what really matters right???

16. I have turned down A LOT of easter candy and treats recently which is a sign I have moved in the right direction.

17.  I'm learning the difference between eating because I'm hungry and eating because of some emotional malfunction. I don't feel so all over the map lately. Food should not be tied to so much emotion.

18. Being lighter just feels good.

Thaks for listening. Have a great day!!

CTMH Inks

Since moving my oldest daughter to her own room and giving up my craft room (Sigh...) I am despretly trying to downsize my supplies. After going through my ink pads I realized I had bought a few of the CTMH collections twice! I am selling the new ones. They haven't been used . I have 10 colors to sell for now (more to come later).

The colors are:

Holiday Red
Pacifica
Sunny Yellow
Sunset
Cotton Candy
Dutch Blue
Lagoon
Pear
Sky
Smoothie

I would like to sell them for 3.50 each plus shipping. 35.00 for all 10 plus shipping.

CTMH ink is awesome. I love the way they open and snap shut to prevent drying. They are stackable and are labeled.

Sneak Peak!

So I just jumped on real quick to post a sneak peak of the card I made for my mom for mother's day. She is at the beach this week so I am hoping she misses this post. Her favorite color is pink so that is the direction I went. Hope you all are having a great weekend!
Now off to play Little Big Planet with the kiddos!

A really beautiful Saturday!

Yay!! A little crafting time, some sunshine, new furniture for my living room, time with the family! It has been a really great Saturday. Typical Oregon style it has been one rainy year so far so I think we were all in dire need of some vitamin D. Everyone is in a great mood. Very nice! I am not sure if it will stick around for Easter tomorrow...but I am crossing my fingers. I also have a couple cards to share with you today.

The first one is an easter card (I just love the little chick!):

The second is a card I made for a good friend who is really going through a rough time. Her mom who is 94 suffered a stroke and she has been taking care of her night and day. She is a wonderful person and I can't imagine being in her position right now. This is also the card for my challenge over at the Papertrey Inkers blog:

The picture of this card doesn't really do it justice. I think this is one of my favorite. It was a lot of fun and I actually got the inspiration for my shower curtain of all things. Here is a picture of the curtain:
Hope all of you have a blessed Easter!
Off to watch The Wizard of Oz with my girls.
